Where - northern areas where they salt the roads? Mileage, if known? What's lurking behind those side panels under the door openings? No spare? What about spare tire carrier on the back? Can't tell from the photos. Me, here in the Houston area, $5K-$6K - and that depends on variables like I've mentioned. There are multiple CJ7 's in this area for sale for under $10K depending on condition. I see an '82 in Brownwood for $9K with a Chevy Vortex and 5-speed; an '84 with some rust for $5,700 with all the tires, including a spare; and an '85 with a SBC and 700R4 auto in Fayetteville, NC listed for $4,300. Just some "comps" for reference.

no spare, and after seeing a few more pics the body is more like 5/10, but repairable, I heard it run(video) no spare or tire carrier but those aren't deal breakers for me - asking price range is under 3k
yes, salt roads, but I've seen 360 views from top to bottom, frame has had a few patches, but overall useable safely without additional repairs.

Under 3K ? Drive it like you stole it. Around here if you want to drive it on the road you need at least liability insurance, which around here is ridiculous. In almost 39 years of owning mine I have probably spent 5 - 7 times the amount I bought it new. Or maybe more. Primary reason I only have the one Jeep, and also a one Jeep garage.

doing some bartering, even though some of my end might be worth more than I spent, I'll only have roughly 2k invested, coming with a soft top and some brand new 2011 seats if I want them lol.

Under $3K, some bartering for even less, newer seats, a hard top and a soft top, frame in solid condition? I agree. Grab it and then drive it like you stole it.

3K and its isn't in your driveway?

Found a 70's CJ5 local to me, V-8 nice body, some panels have been replaced, decent tires the whole vibe is bring it home. Now the rot sets in the price is 17k, will take 14K and thats way more than it was new. So its not mine. Hope it finds a home one day.:drive:

That's a serious redneck heater control valve right there! :punk::rofl:
It will work all day, pain the azz to adjust on the fly.
