Bed liner

Bed liner
1955 Gillespie 23070 OD from Midwesy Military. It's great for touch up on the trail :)

I'm going to try a rubberized undercoat in a spray can. It looks pretty good and will be easy to touch up.

I think I am going to use a marine deck paint, it is urethane based, and non skid, the PO drilled allot of holes in the body and I figured I would epoxy the holes for strength and rust resistance, then with this coating or other similar "thick coating, it would hide the little things like me tub having up to 1.5" holes drilled all over the place. The stuff I am buying if $30 a quart, so I figure two qts should be good. It should be easy to touch up as my buddy did his CJ5 and he used just under a quart but his is fiberglass, and looking at it there are allot less "nooks and crannies" to get into, and this stuff can be sprayed on.

I did mine today with hurculiner. I put one thick coat down and two light coats I am pretty happy witht the results and I have a ton left over. I am probably one of those that the next owner is going to curse tho as I just did the floor plus about a Quarter of an inch up the walls. I was going to do the the walls and the firewall but I started prepping an I was like "Ef that". I figure if I ever pull the dash out, like when I upgrade to the chevy heater blower at the end of the summer, then I will hit up the fire wall.

I was paranoid that some surface rust was going to get left behind and rot under my liner so I ended up angle grinding the entire driver and pass floor board to bare metal and then coated it all with rustolium rust reformer. I probably should have usd PQR but I want to get the truck on the road ASAP so I was impatient. Then I used a tar and wax remover that is basically paint thinner with a different name. Then I masked off everything and rolled it on and dabbed a brush in the parts the roller couldn't get. Here's some pics with the third layer still tacky:
