Best lining option for interior

I just picked up a 1984 CJ7 with 70k miles on it. I want to restore this car the best I can with a decent budget. My first goal is to line the interior...what is the best DIY option?

Very subjective...My preference is Durabak or Herculiner, applied yourself, and then strategically covered (where headers roast the pan) with that 1/2" thick, Waffle House type restaurant floor rubber with big holes in it (makes great feet rests and drains completely without holding water).

Gotta give your definition of restore. To me restoring it would be original type and color of paint and toss in an original style carpet kit. Your definition may vary......

When I get around to it I am going to go with Upol Raptor tintable tub liner and try to find a color close to my jeep. I have heard good stuff about that one. Then I am going to put carpet on top.

I think the carpet is a good idea with this one. I have tinted raptor liner and not very happy with it.

Also watch the tinting. Although it's suppose to be clear, after getting an exact match with my seats, it's a couple of shades lighter than intended. Discovered this issue on the internet after installation.
