Try here:

RockAuto

One of the best sites I have found for hard to find parts. Be careful - very easy to buy wrong stuff if you don't tripple check it - sometimes on other sites.

Summit is also usually pretty complete and quick. Great customer service too:

I'm big on giving your local parts guy a break, try buying from one of them. I'm sure the family you are helping to put food on the table would appreciate it. Besides you can actually look at the parts you are buying to make sure they are the right ones. At one time Dauntless Buick 225 V6 's were very common. I'm sure the parts are still available.

Rock Auto is very popular, can't figure out why, but it is. Occasionally you hear horror stories about people getting the wrong part and having a difficult time returning it

Rock Auto, we got all those parts for our 231 Dauntless Buick 225 V6 oddfire in our 59 resto mod. Also for our 225 V6 in our 67 CJ5 . You didn't say odd or even fire which makes a difference for many parts. Good luck shopping.
BTW, we have never had a problem returning anything with them. They ship from all over, but are based in Madison, Wisconsin.
They send little magnets with cool rebuilt vehicles in each order. Our fridge is covered in them. 😀

I like your point about local etc - I'm a small business and deal with the "cheaper on-line" deal a lot too. However, every dollar you spend puts food on someone's plate... You just may not like who I suppose ;)

I haven't heard too much on Rock Auto that's bad, but my knowledge of dealing with them is first hand, not heard from... :D Rock Auto is great IF you know exactly what you want and do your homework on it (search OEM part number fitment etc).

A local place is great if you can find a good one too, as Hedge said, then you can look at the parts side by side etc.

The little and often helpful local family business is being strangled by the online distributors. We all like the idea of saving on taxes, but those local taxes pay for the things we all use like roads, and schools and plowing snow along with all the other services we all take for granted these days.

Naturally there are things we still will need to order online, but when I am given the chance I will pay a little more to the local guy. I have noticed one thing lately. The internet prices aren't all that much cheaper than going to NAPA.

Well Rock Auto is based in Madison, therefore we pay those sales taxes since we live in Wisconsin. No Mom and Pop parts houses where we live in the country so driving to Milwaukee or Madison about the same. We support local businesses if possible, but that is not what the OP was asking about. Geez

Different convo for a different thread ;)

If OP posted his location, perhaps we'd have some good local suggestions for him. Otherwise, I just suggested the places I use from time to time.

Dauntless Buick 225 V6 's and the many variants from 1964 and beyond can be a little troublesome sourcing the correct parts.........Having the Casting numbers found on the back of the block along with the stamped series numbers found on the passengers side machined surface between #2 & #4 cylinders will help with that ID.......Knowing what you have and knowing what you want, will also keep you out of trouble..........

TA Performance in Arizona that specializes in Buicks may be a better choice if your not sure...........and you get to talk to a real person.
