My build partner got ambitious one night and removed the fuel and brake lines with out taking any pictures... great initiative, but lesson learned. We did manage to save most of the pieces and we are getting ready to bend our lines, we just wanted to see if you guys could give some opinions as to if this mock up looks ok with the routing.
First the fuel line, which I believe is 5/16ths, is painted in light blue....It starts under this this notch in the frame (image #1), just forward of rear bracket for the front hanger, hugs the frame to the shock mount (image #2), then makes a 90 degree turn medially to join the fuel return line on the drivers side of the gas tank (image #3).
One of the options we are considering is a amc360, so if thats the case I think I will have to run the line on the drivers side next to the fuel return line and the brake line. Is this correct?

The fuel return line is in gold color, and is 1/4 inch. It starts on the drivers side at the gas tank, adjacent to the fuel line, sitting in a little recess in the frame. It goes around the shock tower, over the e-brake bracket, and around another the ebrake cable bracket, under the proportioning valve and stops in some place we don't know because we don't have that piece and it's difficult to orient yourself to the frame with no tub on. If anyone can tell us a landmark on the frame to place the forward double flare we would be very grateful.

The brake line, is I believe 5/16ths and here posted in White. It starts off at the rear axle, where the midline brake valve is attached to the axle, then a hose runs upward to a bracket with a hole in the frame, directly behind the gas tank (image #1). each side of the midline valve connects a tube to each wheel. If anyone can confirm that this line is 1/4.
From the bracket in the frame it joins the fuel return line in front of the gas tank on the drivers side, goes around the shock tower to the rear of the proportioning valve, Image #3.
The two outlets of the proportioning valve which are on the top now go directly to the master cylinder.
The front of the proportioning valve has two outlets, on that has a line that travels just in front of the nuts for the front shock tower, through the frame and out the other side to supply the drivers front wheel. The other line follows a similar route but travels to the other side, sitting in behind the front frame crossmember, traveling through an opening in the frame and out the other side to connect to the passenger front wheel, Image #5

In these pics I can see a fuel return line (I think it's 1/4), and a 5/16ths brake line, and there is a third line..... can anyone help me identify the third line in this picture? It starts at the driver side in front of the gas tank and ends around the proportioning valve.

WOW... those pics made me want to puke.. so much going on. Are you running emissions :dung: on it? the pics look like how i remember them coming from the factory on a frame. When I remade my last set of lines I ran both the supply and return line for fuel down the passenger side. In your pic it looks to my untrained eye that maybe he has plumbed in a vapor line to reuse the charcoal canister. How many lines are going down the passenger side of the frame? Sorry if my questions seem odd but I keep going back and looking at the pics and having more questions.

Where is the frame located? Id liek to see the works hes done on it. Im gonna stop by on friday to figure out what up with the 360.. I was supposed to go by for the last few days but have hired for Ot alot!
 
Great to hear from you Jim. The last set of pics were pulled from Keith460.... He did a frame up resto, but I think he tried to keep as much original as possible.
I think you might be right about that third line being the vapor line from the canister.... It looks like it stops in front of the proportion valve then I think there is a rubber line that goes to the charcoal canister.
I think it's the line in green in Keith's pic.
He has 3 line down the drivers side... Brake, fuel return, and ?vapor line? To the charcoal canister.
I guess I would need to run a 4th down the same side with the 360.
The frame is in Dr. Phillips.... Let me know when you want to take a look at it.

For CJ V8 applications, everything runs down the driver's side frame rail. The main fuel line (5/16") and return (1/4") go from the tank to in front of the driver's side engine mount. Flares pointed up. The vapor (1/4") line follows the others but goes to just in front of the firewall. On V8's the evap canister goes on the driver's side of the firewall, under the big electrical connector. What you got looks good, except for a few body mounts that have exceptionally large holes.:eek:

Thanks... the body mounts are going to need to be moved and fixed when I get a "real welder" to come in and also attach the rear crossmember and the sway bar bracket....
