Brake Problem

Brake Problem
follow the lines from the MC down to the frame rail, the PV will be mounted on the inside of the frame rail and all the brake lines radiate from it It’s purpose is to put different pressures to front and back brakes, Disks require different pressure than drums.
On one end there is a button that is, ideally, held in with a special clip while the brakes are being bled. I have heard of some guys just pushing it in with the tip of a screw driver to balance the pressure and make sure there is no air in the valve.

Not sure what you mean here?

Im looking for wheel bearing to buy...Napa has a cheap and expensive one. Should i got with one of those or buy better ones online? How much of a difference is there?
Along with the inner and outer bearing, what else do i need if im replacing them?

I'm not sure what the difference is but I would spend a little more. You don't want to do this again.

Buy locally. No need to pay for shipping. Timken makes most bearings. Mail order very well may be the same as what you get locally.

So, there was metal shavings / worn out bearings?

If it was me, I would buy two set of bearings, two set of races (if the bearings do not come with them) and the bearing seals. If one wheel bearing has gone out the others may not be to far behind.

Not sure if the bearings are messed up but im taking it to a friend that has a lift so i want to go ahead and having everything if it is the bearings. I can always return the parts. Thanks for the info. Will update on Saturday if it was the bearings and will take pictures

I went to order the parts from the local store and they asked what size bearings i need...2.1 or 2.3??? any idea what the size would be without measuring? I dont have access to my jeep until tonight but the store will be closed already.

What axles do you have? I would guess Dana 30 front and a AMC20 in the rear.
Your local NAPA should know what bearings you need.
Ask elsewhere or try the links CJ gave.

Two ways to bleed brakes:
Get speed bleeders, they are in any parts store, take one of your stock ones to compare threads.

Or go with the flow build a pressure bleeder and push the fluid from the bleeder up to the MC air likes to go up not down.

Build one of these and use the line to push fluid up from the bleeder. You can also try it their way.

So i pulled apart the hub and bearing on saturday and come to realized the it DEFINATLY was the bearings along with the racing that were gone!!! But that wasnt the only problem i found. After taking everything off, well we tried to get everything off, inner part of bearing (not sure the name of this) was stuck to my spindle (my terms might not be correct but when i post the pictures you can correct me on the terms). We had to cut it out and then pry it off! Finally we got the hub off and we saw that the racing snapped and expanded. It was just grinding off the metal making the whole where the racing went into bigger therefor when i put the new racing and bearing in it didnt fit! So now im back to square 1 and i had to order a new hub! I will post pictures of this when i figure out how to uploaded them.

bearing

This is what we had to cut off...it was stuck! What is this called?

WOW that thing must have been making noise for a while.
That piece you cut off is just part of the bearing.

Are you going to replace the spindle ? It looks pretty rough.

I agree^^^If a new spindle is in your budget I would suggest replacing, I am shooting from the hip here but I think your talking $50+- for a new one?
