Bumpers!!!

alright, I just got off the phone with Poison Spyder and jeep4x4center.com about the bumpers i want to put on my 81 CJ5 . I was under the impression that CJ5 /CJ7 bumpers are interchangeable. They have there bumpers advertised as simply "CJ". So when I told the sales rep they were for a CJ5 , he proceeded to tell me that the bumpers only fit CJ7 and that the frame on a CJ5 is narrower than the CJ7 . I know this is not true as the frame widths are identical. I was sure that the mounting of the bumpers were the same as well, so here's the cut and dry question.

If a bumper fits a CJ7 , will it fit a CJ5 ?

I know that a '83 CJ5 takes the same bumper as the '84 CJ7 . So all the later CJ5s are the same.

I have replaced the rear cross member on 76 and up 5's with the rear halfs of 7 frames..
