I have been searching and searching for new parking brake levers for my drum brakes. Every parts store I check does not sell it. I can only find it for 1976 - 1978 CJ7s, like this one.

More Information for OMIX-ADA 1675103
OMIX-ADA Part # 1675103

This does not make any since to me. This is for an AMC20 axle off of a 1983 CJ7 . Does anyone know where I can find new Parking Brake Levers? Or can you use the OMIX-ADA Part # 1675103 on my axle?

Thanks for the help

you mean this one? 1675106 is the omix ada number on the rock auto website

No. That is the parking brake fork. I am looking for the parking brake lever. I still can't find it.
I would check www.4wd.com they have almost all brake parts for our cjs that is where I got my parking brake cables and parts.

I already checked online with 4wd and no luck. All the parts stores I have checked do not carry it. They only cary it for older model CJs.
Do you receive there catalog I found it in the catalog the number is oai16151.13 for the drivers side and oai161751.12 for the passager side. Price is $10.99. I've found that some parts are in the catalog and easier to find then on the web site if you don't have a part number. Also some times you can call them and they will have parts that they can order staight from the manufacutor that you normally don't have in stock, this is what I had to do to get a duratrac Limited slip for my AMC20 . Sign up for the catalog its free. Hope this helps.:chug:

Do you have the 10" by 1-3/4 brakes for the 83 or the 11" for the 72-78 just asking because you never know what a po has swapped out the axles or not.

I have the 10" by 1-3/4. My dad was origional owner of my jeep and we have always kept it pretty much stock over the years

Have you checked these part #s on www.4wd.com I think these are what you need?

Just checked them and yes that is what I need!! Thanks a bunch for finding that for me. The correct part numbers are OAI16751.12 & OAI 16751.13. Thanks again for helping me out with this.
Sorry about the part #s being wrong I've found that some times a part# is wrong in the catalog, but I've also found some ideams cheaper in the catalog then on the internet, and when you call them up and order they will honor the catalog price, its a give and take.:chug:

I have the same issue here on my 79 CJ7 - AMC20 rear.

Did you get these levers yet and do they work?

The Omix site indicates these are for 1984-1989 Cherokee or 1987-1989 Wrangler.

???

The Jeep Guy Home Page The scroll to brakes then down at bottom you will see the parking brake lever . Hope this helps out :)

I'm having issues with this has anyone figured this out?????

I have the omix parts that match up with oai16751.12 and .13 and they absolutely DO NOT work. I have one of the old levers (rusty and nasty) and it is a lot different. The peg and hook line up, but the recess for the equilizer is about 1/4" too far back on the OAI17651.12 part.

OMIX was no help when I called.

Anyone know what the best course of action is here. I'm stuck and My jeep isn't on its tires! =(

Just FYI. I searched and searched and couldn't find the correct part. So I ended up sending a couple hours cleaning mine up and painting them. I'm glad I grabbed em outa the scrap bin before my guy came and picked em up!

I just found this thread. The PO had completely stripped out the brake setup on my '79 CJ5 so I had to start from scratch. Ended up having to buy the parts from three different places because my Jeep was built 12-78 but has a '79 VIN. Jeep changed the brake assembly for '79 but must have continued using some of the parts from '78 until they used up their inventory.

This site has all the parts. I bought all the levers for 10" rear and they worked fine.

He also has the hard to find ebrake retaining clips I've been trying to find.
