That is a Webber carb. Either a 32 or a 36. The brass fitting you see is going to a breather hose or something similar. Can you take a picture of the other end of the hose connection?
BTW, that is one very clean engine and engine bay. No oil or contaminates anywhere.

I was just about to post that Chat GPT probably didn’t get the type right. I definitely will when I get home. Fortunately, the gentleman that sold it to me took. Very good care of her. All I really have to do is the Transmission , gas tank float if it isn't grounded, and the speedometer so far. I’ve got some other questions state general I’ll be posting about her. I cannot express how thankful I am to have found this website. Everyone is very nice and helpful, definitely a good community!
 
Everyone is here to help. I'll bet that many of us have over 50 years of experience with CJs. There is no bad question. We always like pictures too!
