Are you getting 12 volts? Coil broken? I’m on Tapatalk and it won’t let me see the pics

Cool, is that an old Carter Marine carb?

No Gert, :D this was marketed back in the early '80's as a 'Black Stallion' model from Carter. I used it fresh out of the box on a steel crank 4 bolt main 350 that I was building for another mid '60's Chevelle. Turned out the cam went flat in the lowered '77 Chev short wide truck I was driving, so there it went. When I eventually sold that truck I pulled the motor to sell seperately but my best friend saved that carb for me.

I sure did Torx, and while there were springs aplenty, most were too heavy for a throttle return spring. After the new springs arrived I got it somewhat dialed in yesterday at work, the kickdown now works just like its supposed to. Now just got to figure out the delay on the e-choke. :D

I was able to take 'er to work today and dialed in the fast idle so it's working perfectly now and the e-choke delay is just right. :D

Now wait for the next thing to go wrong. BTW, I saw that spring set you pictured in post #7 at my local AZ, these were even chromed.

Yeah, there's always something to attend to...
