Today I pulled the old fold away tow bar and brackets off the '78 and pulled the winch, mount, hooks and bumper off the '84 so I can install it all on the '78. That was fun because I had ran a weld down both sides of the plate and frame so I had to cut that loose without hurting anything. So the sparks were flying at my house today.

It took all afternoon but my son and I got the bumper and winch mounted on the '78 what a bitch that was. He is trying to post before and after pics but keeps getting the 520 error GRRRRRR

I was getting the same code. I found that if I tried to post more than two pics at a time the code was triggered. One or two at a time worked. No explanation can be offered. Results may vary!

I can only get pictures to upload if I write the post and submit it. Then reload the page and edit the post.

I was just trying to post two pics a before and after.

Awesome, who would have known how many different ways we go through to get the same results. And the same result is that it doesn't work very well. I'll keep checking in. You have done a great job with this project.

He can't get just the pics to load.

I'll put the word out again but... I really wish I was some kind of computer geek at times like this but it's just not my thing.

Still can't get the pics to load.

We NEED a sticky on post'n pictures! ASAP

Here's the pics of the new jeep
Jeep looks good! Nice work getting it up and running.
I would suggest moving the battery ground cable from the alternator bracket to the starter.
Really hope you can make it to Ouray.

Here is the pics of the winch and bumper finally! It only took 3 tries.

Well today started out to what I thought was going to be a great day. When I got up my wife was not home but to show up a little later with a temp tag for my '78. She says now you can start driving your new Jeep and I was so happy. Then she says did you know that you needed to sign the title? I said no well she goes on to say that she singed it for me. That means she signed my name there and they told her you can't do that it has to be him. So I put my new tag on and start it up and go over and put sum gas in it and drive down to the DMV where I sat for over an hour to have them tell me that that title is no good now and I will need to get the seller to give you a new one. And you should not have gotten a temp tag. I left there so mad at my wife I couldn't see straight. So on my way home yelling and cussing I come to a stop sign I kill it taking off and I start it back up and go about 40yrds and it dies and will not start back up. So I call my wife who I told to keep your phone close because this is the first time taking this Jeep out and I may need you to come and get me and guess what it goes to voice mail. As if I'm not already mad enough about all this, I don't even try and trouble shoot whats going on I just start walking. After about 3 miles she calls and I tell her I'm walking home because she can't ansewer her phone. She comes and gets me and we go back to the CJ and I get it to start up and I drive it home. Gee what a great day for my last day of Vac. Back to work tomorrow.

Yeah in 33 years I've cussed my CJ a couple of times. That and voice mail. :(
