It would be good for blazing a trail through the amazon, or something along those lines. But in the rugged jungle of Miami, I don't see much of a need.

That's pretty crazy stuff right there. It looks more like something a mall crawler looking for the newest coolest bad <-BAD WORD-> looking bolt on would lust after. Not sure It really fits a real world application though....

out here in colorado there called elk deflectors
may protect the rig from damage from hitting elk or deer but doesnt protect it from the blood and guts
