CJ3A and M38 Frame differences?

My jeep is a hybrid CJ3a . It has a CJ3A windshield, CJ2a tub and an M38 hood. The left front engine mount points forward which is an indicator for a CJ3A but I have read the M38 is based off the CJ3A. I couldn't find a serial number on the frame. Could someone tell me what to look for when trying to determine which frame I am looking at? The tub is shot and I thought I would install the intended tub on the frame.

M38 will have tie downs on the side of frame at all 4 corners, 2 front bumper and 2 rear bumper lifting shackles, pintle hook holes. A large M stamped on frame at front reinforcement between front bumper and front x-member (tube) and boxed inner frame w/winch mount points. Extra plate at rear frame bump stops, clutch/brake pivot mount is bolted, under hood battery plate is closer to frame. Front bumper is bolted w/wood in center.
