CJ3B no emergency brake

My 53 Willys Jeep in the box project has the 18 xfer case - and yokes on both ends. I don't see anything resembling a big round emergency brake assembly on the rear of it. Just yokes.

Were emergency brakes an "option" on some models?

I don't think it was an option. Our 54 3B has the drum on the rear output, as do our other D18's.

The Transmission brake was standard equipment in 53.
