CJ7 fuel issues

I've got an 84 CJ7 that had been sitting for about 10yrs. I dropped the tank, drained and cleaned it, replace the float/sending unit, new rubber gas lines, and filler hoses. I took the hose loose at the fuel filter to check for gas flow. Nothing, so I change the mechanical fuel pump, and hoses, still nothing. I disconnected the supply line at the tank and blew it out, still no gas. I'm wandering if I have the fuel pump in correctly. I'm getting conflicting info on the position of the cam to the fuel pump lever. Is the lever suppose to be on the top of the cam or the bottom of it?

I am sure that there is air between the pump and the tank. Remove the gas cap and siphon some fuel thru the line that connects to the pump from the tank then connect it to the pump.

Also ck for a pinched line.
The front fitting on the FP goes to the carb.
Take your gas cap off and try cranking. Takes awhile for the fuel to travel.
ARE YOU SURE you have the lines correct at the tank and the clamps are tight?

I marked each line and where they connected to one at a time with colored zip ties to make sure I didn't get anything crossed up. Plus I dropped the tank to make sure I didn't have a pinched line. Then I removed the supply line from the tank & from the fuel pump & blew air thru it to make sure there was no blockage. I removed the filler hose when I dropped the tank & I've tried to start it then also & still wasn't getting gas to the pump. I'll try to siphone gas up to the pump & see what happens.
