- 1979 CJ7. 304V8, AMC20 Rear, Dana30 Front, T150, Dana20 xfer. 2.5" ProComp Lift. Fiberglass everything.
I have just started a project on a 79 CJ7 . I am in the process now of gathering components for a rebuild. Just have a couple of easy suspension questions for those here with experience.
1. I have a set of 32" tires for the Jeep. I really don't want to lift the Jeep at all if I don't have to. So, what's the best way to get these properly cleared to run on the Jeep. I've seen body lifts, suspension/spring lifts, wheel spacers, etc. ???
2. Driver's side low. I've measured the driver side / passenger side from bottom of tub to garage floor. I get 1.25" lower on driver side than passenger side. Both in the front and in the rear. What would be the major reason for this? I don't mind replacing the leaf springs, but again I'm not really interested in lifting the Jeep.
Thanks,
