installing a 1989 jeep yj 258in to my 1984 CJ7 AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l , just wondering if i can use the clutch and pressure plate that came with the 89 motor.or are the fly wheels different .i know the throw out is different set up.thanks in advance

If you are trying to reuse your old clutch I would recommend not to. Clutches aren't very expensive, at least compared to pulling your Transmission for a new clutch. Try to extend that little chore as long as possible and replace your clutch.

I believe that most everything is diferent. Your best bet is to use everything from your 84. No better time to replace your clutch, throw out bearing and pilot bearing. Sometimes you can get the whole kit that includes the preasure plate for not much more money.
