Here's a little update: got the Transmission and tcase out this evening. Looking at the throwout bearing it looks a little worn out. I'm leaning towards doing a new clutch being I'm right there. So here's the debate: what clutch brand is best to run? AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l stock except fuel injected. Jeep T-18 mated to Dana 20 . Detroit kicker in front. LS in the rear. 33s on about. 2-2.5" lift.
I'm looking for a clutch that will last and take the abuse of some heat. No rock crawling but occasional off road use.
I have read about centerforce and some people RAVE about it and others say they are problematic and overkill for a jeep.
Heard LUK is good. NAPA gold is good.
Read zoom is decent and made of Kevlar for heat abuse.
Sooooo.. what are you guys running? What do you recommend? What to stay away from? Thanks all
