Not really supposed to, as they are 'stressed' from the torque setting.
That said-I have done such so many times, and never had an issue.
You will need a torque wrench for the reinstall. Couple drops of red locktite on each bolt, wouldn't hurt either.

Perfect. Quick question.. went to swap my Transfer Case and noticed the gears that adapt to the engine are different. Can I swap that gear or is it a tear down sort of process?

If it's a 76-79 CJ T-18 (~7" - 7.5" input shaft) then it's a 1-1/16 input shaft. Luk 01-015 is what I used for mine. Only a couple hundred miles so far but I'm pleased with it.
I think the 72-75 CJ T-18 (these are 4:1 1st gear and have an adapter between the Transmission and bellhousing) are 1-1/8" input shaft.
Are you talking about the 2 shift rods being different lengths? That's fine and just how they are.
If you're talking about the tube for the shifter pivot and the linkage, the T-18 uses longer linkage and tube than the T-150 . You'll need to use the T-18 linkage and tube with which ever tcase you use.
