Coolant flush and radiator clean

Coolant flush was on the list and is planned for this weekend- expedited due my dumbass breaking the functional mechanical aftermarket sender line last weekend.

Going to pick up a Prestone flush kit- not my first rodeo there
But contemplating a muriatic flush as I have ample amounts for pool chemistry maintenance.

Planned on pulling the radiator as PO did not cover the grill prior to repaint- as an engineer with plenty of thermodynamics behind me the paint isn’t helping heat transfer. Jeep isn’t running hot but struggles a bit in traffic and I probably need a shroud to help with that- not sure which one I need this is an original 4cyl with 6cyl implant

So an MA exterior radiator cleaning with maybe a pre diluted cup of 31 Baum with water on the flush- thoughts?

NONE of the store bought stuff works as well as what the pros use.
You should also look at a 'rod-out' to the radiator.
When refilling, use distilled water with the AF.
If you don't have a shroud-Get one.....

Consider this process: Mercedes Citrus Flush
My 65 Mustang had a rusty sludge issue and no amount of prestone flush would get it out. This worked great and it has been relatively clean ever since.
+1 on the fan shroud.

I ran a 1/2cup of muriatic acid on a heat cycle then a round of CLR which worked better. After did a cycle of baking soda followed by two more flushes to ensure neutral pH.

Rinsed out a bunch of acorn shells and straw bits- radiator or block were open for a bit allowing rodent den in its past
FYI if you’re on a long term build cover your radiator and engine block holes
