coolant leak from passenger side hose

coolant is leaking from a hose on the passenger side how do i stop this leak, can i just plug the hose or does it need to be re routed?

If it's just a hose leaking why don't you just replace it?

the hose is an "L" shape and goes no where. its about 4 inches long and kind of just there. the leak is coming from the end of that.

i just noticed the leak while the jeep running. im just basically tuning it up.

I ment what year and what motor do you have? Can't help when we don't know what you have.

ahh. it a 84 CJ7 in-line 6.

Do you have the heater hoses hookup to your heater core?

the hose is coming from the heater core

You should have two hoses coing to your heater core one comes from the front of the motor and the other goes to the rear. I have the same Jeep so let my run out and look at it and then I can tell you where in the back it goes. But if it's like you say your heater must not be working.

the heater does work, ill check the hoses

ok those hoses are fine. this hose-nub is under the batery, and seems to only leak when the heat is on, i switched it to vent and the leaking stopped.

Ok like I said one goes to the front of the head and the other goes to the back of the intake. Hope this helps.

Do you have AC?? Any chance it is the condensate drain? or the vent drain?

One side of the rod hooks to the ignition switch that is mounted on the steering column and the other mounts up inside to pivot off the key lock cylinder.
