- 1979 Jeep CJ7 TH400 Automatic 258 I6 Quadratrac Amc 20 rear & Dana 30 front, 32 x 11.5 x 15 tires. Currently a Complete Custom Rebuild in progress.
Also I own a 2001 Jeep Cherokee, White, all stock with 4.0L. automatic, and police package. Best part of that is it came with leather seats! This package also has the NP242 Transfer Case, 8.25 rear end, and trailer towing package.
Been using my son-in-law's Jeep YJ to help some friends just north of here build a pole barn and get their vineyard setup.
So it has this brush guard on the front. I needed to pull a post. No problem,
I'll just put the tow strap on it and pull it out. Wrapped the tow strap around the brush guard. Mistake!
Cheep
!
So now I have to repair it.
So this is what I did:
Pulled both cross bars off:
Full of rust, and very thin metal. Should have know!
Got a couple of pieces of 2" pipe and welded flat caps on the ends.
Then I drilled and taped the ends.
Painted it. Put it all back together. Wa-la! :booze:
So even though I haven't been able to work on my Jeep due to this barn and vineyard project,
I found a little time between ALL THE RAIN down here to work on a jeep. Every day that you can work on ANY Jeep is a good day!
