im having a electrical issue with my instrument panel and parking lights. All others are working fine. I traced it down to a white wire that comes from fuse block to head light switch. When i apply power to this white wire, all my lights work fine (all fuses check out good). So i guess my question is, If i run a different power leg (fused) to the head light switch will this be ok or should i replace the harness and fuse block. Just wondering if i'm prolonging the inevitable.:(

The instrument panel power comes from the ign/lps fuse, and the parking lights get their power from the park/tail fuse, if that helps.

No not really! all fuses are checking out ok my only solution that i could figure would be to run a separate power leg or is this wrong and i need to redo the harness

If you know for sure it's the wire and not the switch, I'd just run a new wire to the switch.

I would suspect a wore out switch first. I recently replaced mine and solved my dash light and cab light problems. It is also the thing that the park lights and dash lights have in common.

Headlight switch is new I thought the same thing so I changed it
And same problem

Maybe this will help.
