81 CJ7, I6, T5, D300, 4.2 block with a 4.0 head, Cherokee MPFI
How should I mount these? The single bolt faces down on mine, but would the angle that's on the side be on the bottom or the top? The old ones were mounted opposite of each other, but I've seen pictures that have shown differently.

The second pic is how I think they would go looking from the front of the jeep, and the third pic is how they were when I pulled the motor.

I put mine so the latch is at the top or to the outside. this traps them from falling through and downward when they separate. :D
 
That's what I'm thinking, but I wasn't sure if the torque of the engine played a role in the placement.:dunno:
