Engine upgrade or fuel injection modification

I currently have a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l cu. in. strait 6 with a Weber DGav and I am debating on swapping it out for a Chevy 4.3 Fuel injected or should I just do the fuel injection modification? The AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l has 185,300 miles.

Personally, I like the AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l injected. What's the health of your's? Have you done a compression test lately? I dont know what kind of smog laws you have, but considering swapping in a mid 90's 4.0 might be something to consider too.

AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l /4.0 head and MPFI hands down. 185k is alot of miles for a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l but if it runs well then it may be a good candidate.
