Ever wonder why our trails are getting shut down?

The caption to the vid states they were on private land with permission to wheel that way. Doing that on public trails is a sure way to ruin it for everyone, I'm guessing that's your point.
Pretty crazy buggy he's driving.

Guess I'm just a crawler ha ha. Yeah that thing is pretty crazy, think I'd be wearing a helmet, goggles, gloves and a 5 point harness

The reason our trails get shut down is mostly due to who gets elected into the senate. Here in SoCal, what I believe what was the largest land closure ever is the California Desert Protection Act of 1994. Which pretty much closed down all of the trails to a few Limited use types. This was done to help get one of our glorious current senators elected and was the beginning of the great exodus out of the state.

Me too, and maybe a clean pair of shorts for after the ride ;)

If you watch his vid's most are either on private land or in pay to play parks. I will admit I'm more of a "tread lightly" guy myself though.

Around here most of the trails they have been shuting down has nothing to do with trail damage, they just don't want anyone to use them no matter what your driving.
They have even shut down hiking trails.
Seems like public land isn't for the public anymore.:(

not sure how I feel about this , it is a totally off the chain machine and he is quite a driver, he looked like he was actually in control about half the time. Way better than I could do. I guess I am just not into breaking things and knocking down trees, more finesse. He is definitely something to watch.

There are guys that think they have built a bad *** rig, and then there is this guy!

This can ruin things for us more mellow wheelers. The guy would run over my *** as I putt along in my '63 CJ5 with a four banger.

Cool video.

WOW , thats a crazy machine . Still does not beat a cj:oops:

He might do that, but you look pretty cool getting out of his way!

This won't be too expensive Dear! That's what I keep saying. Over and over again.

I don't think you would even try going where he is in a '63 CJ5 . This is for rock buggies.

I'm surprised that buggy holds up so well... at least till the end. Is it rear steer too, cause that rear ends tires weren't staying inline with the chassis.

Yes it has rear steer, I was surprised it held together as long as it did too the way he bounces and jumps it. And the only way he knows how to drive it is pedal to the metal.

That's just a run of the mill buggy down here fellas. Impressive but there are lots of em here in the south. Check out some of the youtube vids of aetna mtn. Horsepower hill to be exact if you wanna see some real crazy stuff.

Not saying I agree with the way they use the land, after all the twra is winning the battle to kick us off the mtn. But really what is it hurting if its the one hill they climb like that, and it is. The dirt can't feel it.
