Fabricating a door striker on a 1980 CJ-7

- 1980 CJ-7with 258, SR4 4 speed transmission, stock everything that I can tell.
I'm at a loss as to how one would fabricate a 1981-96 door striker/post style to a 1980 CJ7 body. I see very few factory 1980 doors for sale that are useable but I see several nice 81-96 doors. I am hoping I can install the post style door strikers on my CJ7 to add doors to my hard top. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
