Those are beautiful.

If I wasn't stuck in an severely crowded, urban environment with nearly no unoccupied space on .06 acres, I'd probably buy the $8500 one from the import business, Home

I love a bullet proof machine and diesel is my favorite vehicle fuel.

My body barely fits into my CJ5 . In fact I had the driver's side wheel well cut back to get some additional leg/beer belly room.

I doubt if I'd ever get into a CJ3b .

So are they a hassle to import?

And how, pray tell, does one go about purchasing a pj-53?

That thing reminds me of the mexican built VW Bugs.Lots of modern upgrades in the old body style.OK but kinda weird at the same time.
I would not be a buyer. :D mike

I import 8 or 10 a year from Japan. They have gotten rarer and rarer even in Japan. They have to be over 25 years old to bring into the US. They make you jump through the normal hoops... EPA, DOT sign off. US Customs, Homeland Security... I usually bring them into Port of Savannah. Most of the ones I import are for myself and friends. We sell a few to other admirers.

What does the 4 door variant look like?

I now have a case of Jeep Acquisition Disorder.

I'm only salvation is that my home lacks space to house another vehicle and fortunately, I'm too much of a tight wad to rent storage space.
