Well the first day is over, Struggled with the 30mph winds today. Herd two gobbles this morning, but couldn't bring them in or get any takers.....Must not have sounded better then the real thing. Maybe next time.

:) My friend got herself a turkey yesterday. With her truck. I dont know how or why, but she did. (I am shaking my head at the thought of this still...)

Sounds like the grill is getting fired up at the Road Kill Cafe

Season doesn't open till friday here. Good luck.

The last time I went for spring turkey I called up a hungry bob cat that chased away the turkey and gave me a very dirty look for not being one. I guess my turkey call is believable.:shooter:

I haven't been spring gobbler hunting in years... Other than deer season, spring gobbler was always my favorite hunting season.

Lots of Turkeys roaming the Base here...I don't think they have a spring shoot tho...

Because this base is so small, there isn't any hunting on base.

Oh shoot...you'd like it here...The Wildlife Ranger here takes up to 1300 wild hogs alone every year in the name of wildlife management...Turkey hunts, deer hunts, Lots of fishing on base....

Man, that would be sweet.
