'79 Jeep CJ7 Renegade with 304ci V8, TH400 auto, Quadratrac T-case, Stock 20 and 30 rears with no mods yet, not sure of the gear ratio.. 4" Softride Superlift, w/widetrac shock towers and 35x12.50x15 BFG Mud-Terrains

'76 CJ5, 232 ci, T-150 3-speed, D20 T-case, Corp. 20 rear w/full float axles and lockout hubs and Detroit auto locker, D30 front w/lockout hubs, gear ratio is unknown..
And I'm sure there'll be more to come, but this could have been prevented with a little more thought and planning, attention to detail so to say... I blew my a tranny line today, surprised the heck out of me and my son, had just pulled out of a buddy's drive and was under some accelaration going into 3rd and red stuff was spraying everywhere! Got pulled over into a field entrance and looked it over, for whatever reason when I ran the new stainless lines for the tranny, where I connected the hard lines together between the Transmission and the frame I only made enough hose to slip about and inch over each line, and well looks like the pressure line separated in a grand way... tranny fluid is everywhere... I slipped it back on, and headed straight to the nearest car wash where it blew out again, LOL! I called a buddy to run me to the parts store, we pushed the Jeep into the car wash and my son washed the piss out of everthing best he could while I chased parts, but as you see, my jeep is still in primer and that :dung: went everywhere, even on the inside of the windshield somehow, lol.... I added a bit more rubber hose between the hard lines.. :D

At least it was a semi easy fix
 
At least it was obvious. I usually do a grand job of totally destroying something that leads to something else. :D
 
Did you flair the ends of the hard lines and use rubber hose for trannys and not fuel line?
