I have a commercial grade line in my floor.

I bought some stock 1" floor plugs and can't get them in the hole.

Is it doable and if so how?

Any alternate solutions you would recommend?

Thanks

Have you tried heating them with a heat gun first? I think that would make them softier and easier to install.

That should be interesting... Paint on floor plugs.. :) I'll have to see what my heating options are.. My choices seem to be propane torch or hair dryer. thx

I wouldn't use a torch.

Until you find the right siz e plugs you can always use....wait for it...

I just bought the chrome snap plugs at Lowes, bought a bunch of misc sizes.. plugged them in, then reached underneath and bent the prongs to hold them tight..

That was something else I had thought about, but wasn't sure I wanted metal.

they have the same thing in black plastic, some have screws or push in plugs to expand the other side.. plus, I just painted over mine...
