well im not the only one with a cj anymore. this guy bought a 82 CJ7 saw my cj out front and stopped. he was like i just bought this and it runs like :dung:. so i popped the hood and started looking.

alot of things where hacked. it had a motorcraft carb with none of the vaccum lines where hooked up right. so i put them the way they should be. the fuel filters nipples were sideway so i turned them straight up and down. the card had the low side 2 1/2 turns out and the hight 3/4 of a turn out. when he got here the engine was shaking like a you know what. by the time he left i had it running smooth. that was all i could see in the dark. so i told him to come back by tomarrow to see what else i could find. i think i found a new friend for life lol. he was so happy when he left.

i put new vaccum lines and caps on i had left over from mine. he was like how much i owe you. i told him just the smile on your face when you hit the gas and it goes alot better than what it did would be enough for me.

if it was a yj i would of charged him double for the square headlights  lol. just kidding :D

he hangs out now with a buddy of mine that has a xj and a sammi. so i think ill be seeing him around alot more. or at lease until i get all the bugs worked out for him. he already asked if i wanted to go to haspin acres with him.

Things like this are why it's good to own a jeep.
The brotherhood, where else will a total stranger,
Help you these days?

its funny how he just stopped cause he saw our cj and i was outside.

I think I see a potential for a new income:)

i cant beat up a new cj owner in town. we are the only ones in a jungle of yjs, tjs, and jks. we have to stick together lol. i told him if he buys the parts i will help him put them on.

Good man!! You never know where a friendship is gonna develope as well. He'll be back , its a Cj and it needs more work. :D Good ol' Cj camaraderie.

Awhile back I had a guy stop by my place with a Scrambler. Ive only ever seen one around here a few years back and this wasnt it. He got out and was looking at mine so I went out to meet him. He was at the local NAPA before that one of the guys there told him I had one as well. Cj owners , they'll sniff you out lol.

thats what happened with me. he ran into some guys i know and was out driving around trying to find my house cause he was told i could help him.

Dang thats a long drive for you.
If you guys are willing to drive that far you should come down and check out Big Rock in Maysville KY. sometime. IMO it's a lot better place to wheel.

ya everytime they go our jeep is broke. pretty soon everything will be new and i can go with them and break more stuff lol.

There is always a Jeep brotherhood
but the CJ crowd gets really tight. And I love to watch the guys with the new Jeeps come and check out the CJs

We just had a jeep meet and greet the other day and I took the CJ6 , When I pulled up they waved me into an area that had all CJs.
Well I went and looked down a row of about 50 TJs, about 20 Jks and 5 Yjs were facing the Tjs, looked like a sea of same ol same ol. You could see the page number from the Quadratec catalog the mating mods were ordered from.
There were some trick Jeeps and a lot of in between stuff, oh a few stock Jeeps were there.

Anyway I made it back to the CJ corral, about 6 of us and half the show was there checking out the CJs. Now they were amazed mostly at the Home made mods they all had. Bumpers, roll cages, storage boxes, etc. I heard a lot of guys looking at trick ways radio systems were mounted and such.

Seems we CJ guys have more than just a Jeep Brotherhood, we have a unique brotherhood

As I was showing off my CJ a guy asked me why we had so many home built mods. I smiled and told him, "Well, they just don't make much for these things anymore. And to tell you the truth, we have had a long time to think of how to improve what they did make." He shook his head and said that he was just lucky he could buy stuff for his TJ, I smiled and remembered a long row of them that all looked the same.

I love the fact that when you own a CJ,YJ,JK, etc. you secretly belong to a family you never knew you had. Where I live, us fellow Jeepers wave or nod as we pass each other. It's great.

thats what i like about our cj. im building it for us. i dont need a 4" or bigger lift with 35 to 40" tires. i have a 2.5" lift cause i dont feel like climbing into it. but what i do want to do is have a nice jeep to drive down the road and have alittle fun offroad. this guys cj is all about offroad. 4" lift, 33" tsl tires, cut fenders and body ect ect. but we both think each others is cool. thats what is good about cj owners.

Helped a fellow jeeper today. Out front of autozone his jeep wouldn't start I asked if I could take a look. Turns out he just installed a new starter solenoid on a fiberglass fender and simply needed a ground to get it to work. He was happy and I was glad to be poking under the hood of a cj again.
