I have a CJ5 I have the body off the frame and it is in pretty good shape only some surface rust. I was thinking off painting it with bed liner but have heard POR 15 would be better. I also heard that with the POR15 that I should nit sandblast the fame. I live in the rust belt of upstate new York and would like to do this so it last awhile. I would appreciate any advice about this that any one has.

i had mine galv.the nut to crack is how to protect inside .you would have to treat outside with por15 then maybe a yearly application of oil or fluid film applied with a wand threw the access holes in frame.the only sure way against salt is to store in winter.goodluck!

POR is good stuff. Follow the instructions and also use their top coat and metal conditioner prep coat. 2 coats. Punch the rim with a nail several places and use Saran Wrap when you close up the can. To prep used a 7" wire wheels and grinder.

I do it again on the next one.
