Hey does anyone know a better light to use in the front flashers? The side markers work perfectly fine but the front flasher lights seem to have a problem. They flash when the headlights are off but when the headlights are turned on they don't flash bright enough to see.. I need a way for the front flashers to work so I don't fail my safety inspection again.... Thanks!!

OK, First I would check the voltage at the bulb with the headlights both on and off, you may have a bad headlight switch. You can buy LED equivalent bulbs for the turn signals, they are brighter and take less current. Your bulbs are probably 1157 or 1034, depending on age of vehicle. LEDS are the way to go.

You have bad grounds to the lights.

I would suspect a bad ground or switch as well... That said, I painted the light concave/reflector with a bright aluminum paint, sure helps throw the light forward - made a big difference/improvement.

X3 on GND issue. :notworthy:
I have a hardwire GND from my grill to the fenders. and then to the firewall.

It is always the ground. At least it is in my case. I have dedicated grounds running multiple places. Especially the grill.

The bulb grounds to the housing and the housing grounds to the Jeep.

OK, connect a jumper lead from the bulb socket body to a KNOWN good electrical ground, if it works, that's your problem, a mechanical ground, but not a sufficient electrical ground.

Thanks for all the help everyone, I went and checked all my grounds and voltages. Everything seemed good but still not working, I then decided to try to flip the bulb but as we all know the bulb is a one way fit so I flipped to terminals and now it flashes bright enough! Just a simple wiring issue.

Do the parking lights work?
You have a GND issue within the bulb housing.

I cleaned up the housing and used some Rustoleum chrome metallic finish. That really helps reflect and throw out the light. Hopefully I'm not blinding anyone coming towards me. :)
