Misc front hub squeal

I mentioned in another thread that I had a squealing from my front passenger wheel area and the hub was warmer than the others. Been doing some research. My hubs were locked in but T.C. was in 2 wheel drive. Could it be just the needle/spindle bearing or the wheel bearings? I haven't driven it since either locked in or out, so there's that. 1980 CJ5 , Dana 30 front. Do I need to do a complete rebuild?

Probably not. Just unlock it drive it and see what happens. If you haven't serviced it in a while maybe pull it apart and grease everything

I'll start here. thanks and I may be confused about a spindle bearing vs a wheel bearing.

Look at my thread about the old man emu YJ spring conversion. I did a front axle rebuild at the same time and took pics

You could jack the front end into the air and spin each tire by hand to see if you hear any odd noises. Brakes can make some different noises also .

See if you have a Brake Hanging up.
