Trying to install an aftermarket front bumper on my '78 CJ5 , and i'm running into some alignment issues for the bottom bolt where it's supposed to mount to the frame. The top part of the shackle is in the way (and honestly, probably would be even with factory original shackles). See photos.

Is my only real option to come up with some sort of bumper mount extension to push the bumper forward? I'm not a big fan of these shackles, but its what the jeep came to me with.

Those are definitely aftermarket. What about using a cut off wheel and getting rid of that pesky corner of the shackle that is rubbing

Those are some looooong shackles. Got any caster left?

My current front bumper from Fishbone had the same issue at extreme wheel stuff, when the shackles swing forward.
A little notching into the lower bumper flange with the 4-1/2" wheel did the trick.
