Funny Things Mounted to Jeeps

Funny Things Mounted to Jeeps
Rat Fink is not a funny thing mounted on a Jeep. Its a cool thing mounted on a Jeep. :chug:

This is The 'Rat Fink' by Ed "Big Daddy" Roth bobble body. It's mounted with a double ended screw to my dash pad that is kind of thrashed anyway.

Thanks Turbogus, I was not really aware of the anti hero to Mickey Mouse or any kind of revival. I just remember the outstanding hot rods that Ed Roth built, or maybe had built.

When i was about 10 there was a contest sponsored by Revel model cars in which the prise was having Ed "Big daddy" Roth spend the weekend at your place. My mom almost had a fit at the thought that I had even entered the contest. I shudder to think what would have happened if I had won.

I tease IO. Pete gave me a shot across the bow for being too young to know about rat fink.

BTW I ended up going against your wisdom and buying a 4.0 to replace that 360. You had got me all fired up about the project so I went to the garage and got the 360 running. Then I left and came back a few days later and it wouldnt start. SO I quit! SO long and good riddance.

May not have been wisdom but maybe hardheadedness.

I think I am going to like the 4.0 way better. It will be quiter smoother and 4.0s have much longer life hands down than the 360. Not to mention I will probably get in the high teens on gas with the 31s and the 5 speed.
