Electrical Gas gage flickering

Dropped gas tank. Replaced sending unit. Getting a signal to the cluster, but the gas gage is flickering…like an intermittent signal…

Bad ground? Bad relay or something in the fuse box?

Dropped everything again, sanded the out of my attachment point...bad ground. It STILL has a flicker, but much smaller. Jeeps...

Time for the Dakota Digital or Speedhut setup. I love my Dakota Digital gauges - solid functioning, programmable speedo, better lighting, additional stuff (integrated tach, BIM interface, etc).

I don't disagree, including the GPS speedo, but since this dash is basically altogether I prefer to keep it as stock looking as possible. The only thing I'm missing is the stereo, which has a pop-riveted delete plate. Not the best looking, but eventually I may pick up a replacement:(Link)-> 1978-1986 Jeep CJ-7 USA-230 AM-FM Radio -<

The repro gage cluster is close enough that only real Jeep people would know it wasn't OEM.

I'm also going to do a '70s light bar with the old round KC lights. Goes with the disco burnt orange color.
