Getting ripped off by a member

So this is to let everybody here know to be careful selling parts to a new member. I had one " Straplodmc " post that he was looking for a Bikini top for his CJ5 . I had one that I no longer needed so I told him I would sell it to him for $20 bucks and I would split the shipping. It was like brand new here are the pics of it.
I thought that was very fair so I spent almost $15 sending it to him and he was going to send me a check. Well the mistake I made was not getting payment before I sent it to him. Now I'm out a top I spent almost $50 on plus the $14 and change it took to send to this deadbeat. I'm a honest person and I made the mistake thinking that other people are too. So if you are thinking of selling something to someone here make sure the have been here awhile and you can trust them or get your money up front.

Man, that sux! I hate being a butt, however people like that makes being nice difficult... And expensive... I know you can't pay bills with karma but dude has it coming to him... Hope there is just a problem for now and everything works out.

[straplodmc] CJ has a friend who lives by him and is going to go knock on his door and see what he has to say about this. I can't wait to here what happens I will keep you guys posted.

Man, that is some BS. I've recently bought a few items from some folks on here with NP. I paid with paypal and all.

I lent out my furniture dolly to a fella on my gun forum and I never met him. When he was done he had to beg me to pick it up since I was busy. LOL

I'm that kind of person. Treat others how you want to be treated but firetruck me once and that's it...

I sure hope CJ can get this resolved and there is a good reason why you have not heard back. I'm not looking to wish bad things on anyone, but maybe something bad DID happen to him.

Anyway - you don't deserve this, none of us does - there is enough bad out there already!!!

Just had a phone call and a check is on the way. Give it a few days (well maybe longer since it is our mail system) and we will see how this pans out.

There was a problem with a proxy that was paying bills.
