Body Half Hard Doors

I’m interested in putting half hard doors on my ‘83 CJ7 . Aside from hinges and rubber, Is the half door really just shell + inside panel?

Piecing it together with aftermarket parts seems to be as much as a factory restoration.

While pricey, and if you don't want/need windows, the steel half doors (either plain steel, diamond plate aluminum, etc) are quite nice. If you have the ability to cut some metal and weld on the hinge pins, you can easily make some yourself. Warrior Products or Rugged RIdge have some great options. As "Manic Mechanic" said, 87-95 YJ doors will also fit on a CJ7 . TJ doors will also fit, with some minor modifications to the striker plate. Here's a pair of JY steel half doors on eBay for $500. Half doors weren't a factory option for any year of the CJ, they weren't a factory option on the YJ until 1988, I'm confused
