Does anybody know what size the retaining bolts are for the skid plate
under the T-150 ,Dana 20 t/c 1979 CJ7 . I was replacing a bad u joint yesterday and noticed that all of the bolts werent there, and the ones on the passenger side were loose. :(

Any and all help appreciated

On my Jeep they are 7/16. I had to weld some nuts into the frame for the bolts because the original holes were stripped out.

I am thinking 3/8 16 X 1 but I think I would pull one and take it with me when I went looking for replacements. And be sure they are at least grade five.
Avoid stainless steel for these bolts.

I welded nuts into the frame and mine are 7/16 fine thread. There are nuts from the factory in the frame channel welded from the inside. I drilled out the old and welded new ones just flush with the frame bottom.
