hard door lower hinge strap catch pin

Would my '76 CJ7 have come with the bracket on the lower door hinge for the door check strap to attach? I don't have a pic with me at the moment but on the inside of the tub, the nuts are recessed some into the body. I don't see how the strap brackets would fit flush plus the original torx bolts wouldn't be long enough.
The original hard doors were sold years ago so I wonder if the PO sold the brackets as well or if my 7 never came with them to start with?
