Years ago we did a concourse rewire on a 65 GTO (before and after), Hurst started out as a accessory company much like Eddie Bauer edition Ford. The GTO had an auto with a shifter on the tree. All it had badges and wheels and that bumped the value to around $125K

Wonder if we will see Eddie Bauer shifters one day.

I'd have to give "Hurst" a lot more credit than "Eddie Bauer".
I mean they really made some spectacular performance vehicles!
If nothing else they hired the "Lovely Linda Vaughn Miss Golden Shifter"!
Do you remember the 68'-69'-70' Hurst Olds, 68'-69' Hemi Cuda & Dart, 69'Hurst AMX

No doubt, I just think its funny how they both started the same, so yes I completely agree, but I think Miss Hurst rode that wave just a little too long. Just my thoughts.

You got to know when to retire, case in point 84' Hurst Olds.

IMHO that POS was more of a "Retro"ride like the "New Beetle" the "New Mini"or emasculated emissions era rides like the "King Cobra" the CobraII the 80's AMX the 76' GTO.

What did "EddieBauer" do right? I mean in an automotive sense. I love my "Eddie Bauer" down vest,;) but color & material selections it's the same as "Hurst". I guess I'm "Old school"
