1985 CJ7. Inline 6. Mostly stock with a 3 inch body lift. 33 inch MTs. Dana 300 tcase. T-176 tranny.
1985 CJ7 . Headlights went out on me after reinstalling the rebuilt motor. All fuses in the fuse panel check out OK. Both bulbs are good. Under the hood, we can unbolt the fuse box and hold a piece of scrap wire to the fuse block and see the bulb light up. That suggests (to me) the problem is at the fuse panel under the dash. Could this be a relay issue? I bought a new headlight switch and had NO luck. What fuse operates the headlights?

allso look at the ground wire.

This is where Im at but I have hi beam just not low. Did you try both? Mine showed up after a good rainy ride with water leaking down the firewall. Thats what lead me there.
X2 I'd try that next. They tend to get rusted out being on the floor like they are.
