Hei distributer

Hello guys new to the forum.. have read a lot of info on this so I decide to join. anyway I have a question maybe someone cane help me answer.
I just bought a HEi distributor just came in ups and the wires they sent me are for our old caps.. I need female on both ends. my question is there any out there I can order? if so where. I can buy the universal ones and cut and splice but trying to stay away from that.. help please.

You might want to consider a custom set from MSD. Hopefully some of the more experienced with hei conversions guys will come on. Something about chinese made distributor gears eating up cam gears.

If I understand your question correctly you need a set of spark plug wires that are made to go on and HEI distributor. I purchased a set of MSD wires. I got them for a couple of reasons. They are a quality wire you custom cut for your application and they are not increadably expensive like some quality wires can be. They come with a wire crimping tool that works well and makes a very professional looking finished product. There are several other manufactures but you will need to purchase a +$40 wire crimping tool to do a decent job of it.

From what I can gather the V8's are the ones with a gear problem, but you can't go wrong with changing out the gear you get with your distributor for your stock gear. It's a simple thing to do and you will have peace of mind knowing that you aren't expecting two dissimilar to work together.
