So I have a second generation dodge that i'm parting out, but the front axle is day of forty four , and i'm wondering how much trouble it would be to put that on my 78CJ5, anybody has an experience or knowledge of this, I'll really appreciate any input. Thanks , look forward to hearing from you

If I remember correctly, isn't the Dana 44 that you want to put in is a driver's side drop (the diff housing is on the left when looking at the diff from the rear)?
CJs are passenger side drop due to the Transfer Case front output.
Also you would need to cut off the knuckles and narrow the tubes because of the huge difference in width as well as swap and move spring perches.
The Dodge knuckles will need to be modified because they use ball joints while the CJs use king pins.
Also drive shaft work and you would have to match your rear ratio or change gear sets.
Do able but will need lots of fab work.
