Engine Help identifying this Plastic Valve Cover/Engine/Head

So I have an engine in my newly acquired '85 CJ7 that I'm not sure what it came out of. The block code is 306C10 so I believe it's an '83 AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l . It also has a remanufactured tag to the left of the block code with some numbers that I can post if relevant. The head casting # is 8933002 and when I search for that it seems it's from a newer Jeep/AMC. The part number on the inside of the valve cover is 8933004109 and when I look that up i find an ebay listing for a valve cover for an AMC Eagle. This valve cover is slightly different from the other plastic ones I've seen on CJ's and YJ's. Those ones seem to have an extra couple small holes.

This one was leaking really bad which I assumed was the gasket but when I took it off I discovered cracks near almost all the mounting points, and the rear mounting point was cracked all the way through. I was wanting to identify this valve cover but I'm not even sure it's the correct one for the head. Seems like it might be a better idea to identify the head and get the appropriate cover based on the head casting numbers. Appreciative of any help.

Looks like a YJ but either way the plastic ones are junk. Get an aluminum one

That seems to be the consensus. I got a Crown aluminum one and tapped out the two holes on the driver's side. I ordered the $50 Felpro gasket and that will be here tomorrow. Mating surface has been cleaned so hopefully it will all seal up tight.

I used the Felpro a year ago, and had to take it back off a year later. This time I used the 1 made in Tennessee that’s silicone. So far I really like it. Best part is no sealant and it’s not leaking.

I think there is a Felpro 50244 C that is cork and a Felpro 50244 R that I ordered. The R I've seen described many ways - molded silicone, Sponge-Lam, sponge-rubber, and cork that is laminated in silicone. I can't get a straight answer. I haven't seen it advertised in that color you have though.

Seems like the one I had was a semi hard molded type. I’ll see if I can find a picture if I still have it. This is all I have left. It probably would have lasted except for having to go back inside.

Semi. Throttle Body Sniper. Wish I had the Jeep or Hesco direct injection.
