I assume this is a factory installed V6?

No Spacer that I have ever seen between the block and the bell-housing......

From the bell-housing back there is different length factory housings and some various adapters that may or may not go between the bell-housing and Transmission that was solely based on Transmission type.

Lots of guys swapped these components in after the fact..........so there could be some variables.

:D:D:D:D

welcome aboard we so need some pics :chug:

a couple things in your description tells me there has been some mods.the sm 420 bolts directly to the V6 bellhousing as they are both standard GM bolt pattern. So no adapter there. There could be a remote possibility that you have a scattershield with a block saver plate.Very remote ,but possible.Did they convert Transfer Case to a two lever shift?

My 69 only has the thin metal guard covering the area by the starter.
