Hoist on a jeep?

Anyone else ever rigged up something to use their wich to pick up something heavy. I'm getting ready to move and have a couple motors and a vice about as big as a motor that I need to get out of my garage onto the driveway.

I've seen it done. They used the shackle mounts on the front bumper to mount a gin pole setup, and tied it to the roll bar for support. then ran the winch cable over the gin poles to lift stuff up.

Rent an engine hoist, cheaper, easier, safer.

An engine hoist won't do all the things a gin pole set on a Jeep will do, tho! Ever try rolling a loaded engine hoist over soft...anything? LOL

I set this up on my trailer a few years ago, and it has more than paid for itself over the years, and saved my back many many times over as well...

I can't pick the motors up with my engine hoist and roll it from my garage to the drive. There is grass between the two. I have my engine hoist on the driveway now so I can load all this heavy stuff into the trailer.

I saw this setup in a field while looking at the orange one next to it. He has some weight in the back to help out. The old timer said it never let him down.
