Hood Prop Rod

I have a '80 CJ5 and recently installed a new hood prop rod on the underside of the hood (old one was missing). There is no location on the radiator body support that jumps out to place the end of the rod to hold the hood open. Does anyone have a pic or any info on where this is to be placed?

There should be a small metal bracket right at the grill in line with the prop when dropped straight down. It will be bolted on to the grill support that bolts to the cowl on the tub. Something similar to this:

052, I just drilled a hole for mine on the pass. side of the radiator housing, but think a fabricated or oem unit would be better.
